Contemporary Art in Berlin Galleries

City walk in Mitte, Kreuzberg or along Potsdamer Straße

Like no other city in Germany Berlin possesses a diverse gallery scene and is the centre of contemporary art in Europe. We find small places, established by art producers themselves, but also internationally working galleries, which show their artists on international art fairs. The main art market places are to be found in three quarters, where the show rooms are situated close together, very convenient for walking tours: Spandauer Vorstadt in Mitte, Kreuzberg around Checkpoint Charlie or along Potsdamer Straße. In all three areas you can find interesting sites with installations, sculptures, paintings or photographies and films. Choose one of the gallery quarters or combine two or all three to a fascinating tour exploring contemporary art.

Meeting point depends from which quarter you like to visit; duration: two hours or more
